finishes, but not by me

These are a few of my favorite things. Long stitched, finally finished.
Homespun Elegance Merry Stitches

Homespun Elegance
CHS Quaker Sampler
These are the finishes I got back from the finisher a couple of weeks ago. I absolutely, absolutely love them and will definitely be sending some more items to her in the future. They are just so fun. I wish I could do this myself but cannot and just need to get over it and move on.

  1. Beautiful Marjo! I especially like the quaker stocking - the bits of gold amongst the blue is really pretty.

  2. All are very beautifully stitched and finished. I can't do nice finishing to bite the bullet and have a wonderful end result. I keep seeing that stocking everywhere...might have to look for the pattern.

  3. Bravo for you Marjo - they all look great. I know what you mean about 'getting over it' and sending things out. I do my own stitching finishing but finally just faced up to the fact I don't enjoy machine-quilting my own quilts so I send them out to be quilted. I now only machine-quilt small projects or I hand-quilt occasionally. Why feel obligated to do something you don't enjoy - let someone else do it and enjoy the finished product I say! We never have enough time as it is so should spend it doing what we enjoy.

Congrats on your finishes! I have to check on that Homespun Elegance pattern...haven't seen that one but love it.

  4. Beautiful stitching and finishing!

  5. Gorgeous finishes!!!! I especially love the Quaker stocking :-).
